THE GOSPEL


Many embrace a gospel that is not the same as Jesus and the disciples taught. We sometimes wonder, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE OLD TIME RELIGION -the religion in which the “full gospel ” was preached and taught (1 corinthians  15:1-4) which our ancestors believed, taught and walked in.

We live in a time where some ministers have thousands of followers whom they do not want to offend with even the mention of sin. Some preach a gospel of how to be healthy, wealthy, wise..etc and omit how to stand victoriously and resist the devil. Some instead, seems to focus on self -help and how to be successful in life.

The successful Christian today is seen by some as one who drives the best car, has the biggest mansion and pays the most tithes into a church to help support a social type gospel. Yet, love for God first and others, helping and walking in the spirit of the lord are birthmarks of a believer that is successful in Christ.

God expects us to give as we have prospered yet, it is more than giving of finances. One can give all they have yet, if they have no love for God and their fellow man, all their giving has accomplished them nothing. Our priorities must be right, and our motivation for our deeds must be out of a heart for Christ.

Nowadays, it's getting hard to tell if the church is worldly or the world is churchy. Some people are getting saved without getting changed. However, in the Bible those that came to Jesus left a different way, they left changed.
If I was the one, I would be worried about salvation without transformation. Sometimes I wonder why some pastors are getting lured into letting modernistic gimmicks enter into the church without being concerned about compromise but I got to know that it's because of numbers (population)....

So, how do you get people into church these days?. Do you compromise the word of God or do you stay true to the word of God? God is not impressed with numbers but he loves us to obey his words.

Many times in church, some ministers talk about some topics like love, adultery,..etc but still find themselves not doing it not to talk about those that are hearing the word. The singers of the old they sang from their heart and were not in the music business but in the ministry. God has given us psalms hymns and spiritual songs to glorify him.

The Old time religion, what happened to it?
Where are the Christianity with Christ,
Where Christians were living saints and not hypocrites,
Where the love for God brought us to church and not our needs,
Where we don't remind the saints about service,
Where sin was detested and purity was celebrated,
Where drinking was evil and divorce was unthinkable... 
Where sisters lived a pure life.
The time where singers sings from the heart,
Sinners turned to the Lord to be saved,
Sex was a personal word, homosexual was an unheard word, and abortion was an illegal word.
I still like the OLD PATH(Jeremiah 6:16).

Some christians thinks the best way is to neglect the old time religion which was good enough for those in the Bible and our ancestors, which is still good enough for us , if we abide in christ and let his word abide in us.

THE JOURNEY

Last 2 year, I started a journey on my health and I'm grateful. Even though I wasn't consistent especially after the coaching session but I had to strive to ensure the journey continues even though I fall, I still get myself back  Imagine being a lover of heels and you can't wear it for too long Having to sweat profusely, Having knee ache pains, Sewing new dresses because you can't wear your favorite dress Imagine lot's more because of weight gain, That was me.. Before you go further and think it's only food that cause weight gain.  Mine wasn't, I could say it was stay at home, free hands and no stress kind of reason (I don't know how best to put it) I know I'm not a slim person but I was already weighing 110kg. Lolz, 2 bags of cement. A DAILY REMINDER

I know you are going through all shades of different phase, I know you are thinking of what next, I know the hardship is tough and you feel your strength is failing but, This is a reminder To relax, To not get angry over small things, To stay calm. A daily reminder To be yourself, To not care what people think, To know you can be anything. To love yourself, To not hurt yourself, To not work yourself up. This is a daily reminder That you are beautiful, That you can be hardworking  That you are amazing, That you will succeed. To always have hope, To have faith, To know everything will be okay. A daily reminder That you have made it so far already, That you haven't given up, And you are going to be amazing. Don't give up. Keep holding on and believing.  It's a start of a new year and it's too early to feel pressured or insecure God cannot fail you, Be persist in that Job hunt Be persist in trusting God  Be expectant, don't loose guard  Everything will fall in place...
