It’s always in the midnight.
Iffy turned from one side of the bed to the other, chasing peace like it was hiding in the corners of her room.
No matter how she tried to quiet her mind, it kept shouting- bills, disappointments, unanswered prayers.
She whispered, “God, I just want peace.”
But even that prayer felt too heavy to finish.
You ever get to that point where peace feels like a luxury?
Where your thoughts run faster than your faith?
You smile in the daytime, but when night comes, your chest feels heavy and you start to wonder if peace is meant for people like you, or if you somehow missed it.
I’ve learned something,
peace isn’t something you chase; it’s something you receive.
Peace doesn’t always mean silence.
Sometimes, it’s the strength to stand in the storm.
It’s the calm that settles in your heart when everything around you is still chaotic.
God never promised a life without noise,
He promised His presence in the middle of it.
And sometimes, peace doesn’t come in the absence of problems;
it comes through the quiet knowing that you’re not alone in them.
So if peace feels far away, stop running- just whisper, “Lord, I receive Your peace.”
Even if nothing changes immediately, trust that He’s working silently within you.
Peace isn’t lost,
it’s just waiting for you to be still enough to feel it again.
