"That very day, i could remember we were discussing about my future and I told my parents I don't want to become a lawyer, I want to be an actress. They flared up and shouted No! You cannot be an actress, you need to become a lawyer. I apologized and made them realise it was something I have passion for but they told me to shut up. So, I stood up and I rejected it and walked towards my room and suddenly, my daddy shouted and called me Bastard, while my mum called me Blackbird. I was shocked as I quickly open the door and shut it after I got inside and I began to cry

Two different names in a day over a discussion about my future ” Temiloluwa said as she wiped her tears and she was about to continue when Mr Bode the counsellor interrupted by asking "Blackbird....How?

“Blackbird, it signify something odd and different. Which means, what i represent among my siblings. I hate my mum anytime she called me that name and sometimes, I doubt if truly she is my biological mum. She could not even defend me. Since that day, I saw my parent as sorrow and pain. I just want to fly but I ask myself, Why do I want to fly, I am never going to fly because my mother name is Sorrow and my daddy name is Pain. That's what they brought into my life as she began to cry.

I must live their life, so tell me how am I going to fly, how am I going to live my life ” She wept as she held Mr Bode's hands and she continued “I want to fly, I want to do what I have passion for but I have been rendered voiceless. Can you please help me out? She asked as went on her knees crying.

“Hmmm Temiloluwa, there is only a way. We have to commit your parents into God's hands through Prayers. I want you to start praying about your parents, and I would also join you in prayer. He prayed with her and she went home.

I know you might be thinking that PRAYER in this kind of situation. Yes! Its prayer, after you can go ahead to talk to them. Pray and believe, cry unto the lord (Exodus 15:25).

THE JOURNEY

Last 2 year, I started a journey on my health and I'm grateful. Even though I wasn't consistent especially after the coaching session but I had to strive to ensure the journey continues even though I fall, I still get myself back  Imagine being a lover of heels and you can't wear it for too long Having to sweat profusely, Having knee ache pains, Sewing new dresses because you can't wear your favorite dress Imagine lot's more because of weight gain, That was me.. Before you go further and think it's only food that cause weight gain.  Mine wasn't, I could say it was stay at home, free hands and no stress kind of reason (I don't know how best to put it) I know I'm not a slim person but I was already weighing 110kg.
