Episode 11

“I don't want to disturb you, that is why i didn't wake you up and your food is in the kitchen ” she said. “ I understand oko mi(my husband) ” mama said. “I am late and we would be leaving now. If you need anything, Silver is around for you ” She said as she walked towards the gate and everyone went to their separate destination.

Two weeks later, something grievous happened to the family of Mr and Mrs Alabi. Mr Alabi decided he would be traveling to Ekiti State (his hometown) for his brother wedding. Everyone at home was ready to welcome the lagosian because he stay at Lagos.

They always see people from Lagos as an extraordinary big people. He got home safely and the wedding was great. There was enough resources and money. Mr Alabi enjoyed himself, he called out his brother and informed him, he would love to go back home. His brother did not agree as he urge him to leave tomorrow morning but he was impatience and insisted to go back that day.

“Who am i to disobey you or argue with you. I believe you have planned it well before coming. Moreover, your wife would be waiting for you at home. So, I partially agree you should go” his brother said. He went to the family house to greet his relatives. He carried his bag and he headed towards the garage.

“Let me guess, Mr Alabi does not like traveling home with his car ”Kunle asked. “Before nko, who would travel home with his/her car, when they are witch and wizard in the house ” Omega, the girl with the bladed mouth replied. Kunle was angry and he said “Who asked for your opinion, razor blade mouth”. Miss Abosede already knows she had to say something to stop them from blastering each other.

“It's okay kunle, any words from you again, you would leave the class” she said

Mr Alabi was already in the bus going to Lagos. As they were about to leave, the driver passed a note, asking them to fill their bio data.

GOD SLOWS YOU DOWN

​ Sometimes God slows you down so He can show you what you were too busy to notice.  There was a season in my life when everything felt like it was moving backwards. Plans that once flowed easily began to stumble. Doors I thought would open effortlessly suddenly became heavy. I kept asking, “God, why are You slowing me down when I’m finally ready to run?” But the more I struggled to push forward, the more life insisted that I pause. And in that stillness,  the one I didn’t choose  I started to see what I had been too busy to notice. I noticed the habits that were draining my strength. I noticed the people who clapped for me publicly but resented me privately. I noticed the warning signs I had ignored because I was too focused on getting ahead. I noticed me, the me I had been neglecting. God wasn’t punishing me. He was protecting me. He was whispering, “Slow down. A DAILY REMINDER

I know you are going through all shades of different phase, I know you are thinking of what next, I know the hardship is tough and you feel your strength is failing but, This is a reminder To relax, To not get angry over small things, To stay calm.
