Episode 8
Tolani almost cried her eyes out, she loves her brother. David could not stop crying seeing the wounds all over his body. Mama took him to take care of him before Mr Alabi tell him to continue kneeling down. Mrs Alabi blamed herself for telling him.
Ibukun was also not happy. She said to Tolani “let us go and sleep” and Tolani asked her “won't you go and greet daddy”. “Daddy ko, mummy ni” she said as she walked directly into her room. Tolani could not talk as she watched her sister, walking into her room.
“Omo that girl is rude o. How old is she? ” Ifeanyi asked. Miss Abosede could not stop laughing as she replied “She is just 10years old o”.
Everyone has gone to sleep except Mr Alabi and his wife. They were still in the sitting room, not talking as they stare at the television. Mrs Alabi stood up and he asked “Where are you going ”. “To sleep ” she replied. “won't you serve my food ” he said. “oh, I am sorry ” she said as she walked towards the kitchen. Then she remembered that nobody has eaten. She served him and went to sleep.
Emeka was just crying. Everyone was looking at him and all Miss Abosede could see was pain, hatred and a broken heart. “Cry it out boy, it's going to be fine” she said.
Mrs Alabi and Silver woke up 4:00am to start their duties. She planned to prepare something nice because her children did not eat yesterday night. Mr Alabi alarm sounded at 5:00am. He woke up and Mrs Alabi who heard the alarm from the kitchen, went straight to the room. She greeted him and also told him the way he flogged David was bad.
“I was angry and also, what he did was bad but I am sorry” he said.
