BRACE UP


Episode 3

“Holyspirit, grant us understand..Amen.
I will say few things about the secret place because of my time. Secret place is a place of fellowship, interaction and nakedness with God where mystery of your destiny are unveil to you. Someone can have bed but not sleep when the situation, struggles of life weigh you down but you draw your strength, comfort and rest from the secret place. Is someone getting me? Am I speaking to someone?

“Yes” the congregation replied.

He continued “I would want to address the ladies here, ladies your comfort and rest should not come from men but it should come from the secret place i.e presence of God. Luke 24:49- God told his disciple to tarry in the city of Jerusalem, unto ye be endued with the power from on high. Let me ask you all, in which place did God asked you to tarry at? Some of you, it is your secret place. He is asking you to tarry until you be endued with power from on high(heaven) but most of us don't tarry. The key word here is to tarry. You have been called several names but God is saying you should stay, something would be birthed. You haven't discovered your purpose stay with God, fellowship with him. You don't understand anything about your life, the challenges, struggles is too much, he wants you to commune with him. Talk to him and wait on him. He is ever ready to listen to everything we have to say and he is waiting for you” Pastor Adigun said as he ended his sermon

“God I would wait on you” Folake keep praying silently as the pastor lead the prayer point. 

“Jesus, grant me the grace to be consistent with you and to always wait on you” he said as the congregation started praying, in Jesus name we have prayed...Amen. 

He continued “I don't just want this to end here, let's keep praying in our various home and I pray the Lord strengthen us in Jesus name.

 Amen” he said as the congregation replied too. 

“I need to see the pastor” Folake said as they shared the grace.

 *BRACE UP* 

Episode 4

Folake was looking left and right to ensure that Pastor Adigun was not leaving yet. Her legs were still shaking and she began to pray silently while in the midst of prayer, bro Goke came and she didn't notice until he spoke.

“Good morning sis folake” he greeted. Folake responded in an unpleasant manner because she was interrupted.

“I hope today's service was blissful” he asked as he was smiling and ignored the way she responded.

“Yes, realising her bad attitude. I am sorry for the way I responded, I was in the midst of something” She said.

“No problem, I have gotten used to it” he replied

“Used to it? She asked suprisely. Bro Goke laughed and said “No ooo, not only from you but other ladies”

“Once again, I am sorry. I don't usually react in such way” Folake said.

“I understand and believe everything is fine now” he said.
“Surely, everything is fine” She smiled.

“Before I forget, I came to receive my reply from our last discussion” He said.

“Response...she thought for a while. Oh! Yes... about joining the prayer band. I haven't really prayed about it but I think I want to join the band” She said.

“You think...” bro Goke asked looking surprised. 
“Sorry, I meant I love to join the prayer band” she said smiling faintly.

“Okay, that is better. I will love to have your number, so as to address you to our WhatsApp group” he said.

“I don't have a phone” she replied sharply.

Checking her reaction, he replied quickly remind her “Common sis folake, this is not about me, it's about our Father (God)" he said.

“Our father assignment...Yes, I know but I also need to guide myself diligently” Folake said.

Bro Goke laughed and reply “Sis folake, it is only about church. Some information would be posted about many things. It would be good if you can drop your
WhatsApp number” he said as he pleaded.

“...okay” she said and gave him her WhatsApp number.
“Thank you ma and we are glad you joined the prayer department. Have a nice day” he said.
“Thank you too” she said as Bro Goke Left.

“Hmmm, when will pastor be through with all these people or should I just go home. No! I cannot go home, Folake be patient” She said to herself as she saw Sis Ayanfe and Sis Bolatito moving towards her direction. They introduced themselves to her and exchange numbers. Along the discussion, she chose to join the choir department.
“God grant me the strength to Carry out your assignment effectively” Folake prayed within as she remembered she has to prepare for school tomorrow. Meanwhile, she has to see the pastor urgently as she checked the time, it's 1:00pm.

Few minutes later, she stood up as she saw pastor Adigun approaching her.
“Good Afternoon sir, my name is Folake and this is the first time I am attending your service but I need to talk to you about something sir. I was so blessed with today's ministration. God bless you sir” she said.

“Hmmm...All glory to God Sis folake. Thank you for coming and we believe we would see more of you” Pastor said

“Yes sir” she replied and smiled.

“Okay, let's go straight to our discussion.. What do you have for me?

THE JOURNEY

Last 2 year, I started a journey on my health and I'm grateful. Even though I wasn't consistent especially after the coaching session but I had to strive to ensure the journey continues even though I fall, I still get myself back  Imagine being a lover of heels and you can't wear it for too long Having to sweat profusely, Having knee ache pains, Sewing new dresses because you can't wear your favorite dress Imagine lot's more because of weight gain, That was me.. Before you go further and think it's only food that cause weight gain.  Mine wasn't, I could say it was stay at home, free hands and no stress kind of reason (I don't know how best to put it) I know I'm not a slim person but I was already weighing 110kg.
