BRACE UP


Episode 10

Dieko woke up late because she had vigil interceding for Folake. She missed her and pray she comes back into light as she picked up her phone to check the time.

“Oh! It's 7:00am, I really need to rush to bath and prepare for church but she saw several missed calls and ignored the calls as she rushed into the bathroom. After taking her bath, her phone rang and it was that same number.

“Hello, Good morning. Who is this? She asked.

“It's Deborah, one of Folake's friend" Deborah said.

“Ehn.. Folake's friend. What happened" she said as she checked the number again.

“Its Folake o. She just....She just what? Dieko interrupted.

“She... just... slumped" Deborah said fearfully.

“Slumped! How come? Where are you? Send your address" Dieko said eargerly.

“Yes...we are in the hospital. She snuffed high level of Coca" Deborah said.

“Coca...what do you mean by Coca" she asked anxiously.

“I mean cocaine" Deborah said sharply.

“Jesus! Has it gotten to the level. Folake why? Please send the address, send it now" Dieko said as she hanged the call. She scrolled through her contact to call pastor. His phone rang three times before he finally picked up.

“Hello sir, Good morning sir. This is Dieko" she said fastly

“Yes I know and by now, you should be in church. What is going on? he said sharply.

“Yes sir, but it's Folake. She is in the hospital, her friend just called me now and she has sent the address" she said.

“Hospital!  No, what happened? He asked.

“They said she  snuffed cocaine" she said.

“What!... That's so deadly. I am coming now" he said as he hanged the call. She hurried and wear her clothes as she proceed to the hospital.

THE HOSPITAL

They met  Deborah and her friends there crying as the doctor came out.

“Doctor, how is she? Pastor asked

“I am sorry, the drug affected her neurological and  we lost her" Doctor said. Dieko slammed herself on the floor as bro Goke tried to raise her up but she refused to stand up and she started crying.

“God why! One of their church member said. It should not be sis folake. God why don't you show your Mercy towards her. The pastor was speechless as he was looking at every one crying seriously. Pastor Adigun could not say anything as he left there .

 *BRACE UP*

Episode 11

Folake's phone kept ringing, it was her mom but nobody could pick up. Dieko remembered the revelation her mom told her in the book of Hebrew 3:12, telling her not to depart from the living God. She weep and after some time, she stood up to go home likewise Deborah and her friends.

HOME

Deborah and her friends started confessing and feeling guilty

“And I am the first daughter of my family and my father is a pastor" Deborah said facing down.

Her friends were shocked and they replied “Ahhh! But you didn't tell us".

“I was fervent before I got carried away. I guess I am to learn from Folake's life. I need to go back to Christ" she said as she went to her room, leaving her friends who were still suprised.

MONTHS LATER

Dieko moved on. She is still passionate about God and always pray to God daily to guide her and lead her steps so that she won't fall.

“Wow, thank God for another new day and it's Sunday. Thank you Jesus" she said as she prayed, took her bath, wore her clothes and proceed to church. It was a powerful session of praise and worship, miracle and testimony filled the lives of people. And now it's time for sermon as Pastor Adigun walked up to the altar. He was about to pray when he saw four ladies moving in, Deborah and her friends. He smiled and continued.

After the sermon, he called out to those that want to dedicate their lives to Christ as his topic saying:- SURRENDING ALL. The choir walked up to the altar to sing:-

Here I am down on my knees again
Surrendering all/2x

I surrender all/2x
Unto thee my blessed saviour
I surrender all..

Mo ti se leri ( I have made a promise)
Nile aye mi(All through my life)
Iwoni o ma sin(It's you I'm going to serve)
Iwoni o ma bo( it's you i'm going to worship)...
They continue singing as Deborah and her friends stood up and went to the altar as they were crying. Joy filled the heart of everyone and pastor as he prayed for them and that was how they started a new chapter in Christ and old things are passed away.

Deborah was alone in her room when the devil started dropping different bad ideas in her mind for her to go back to her past life. She rebuked immediately and picked her bible to study.

I know we have learnt a lot from this write ups and I hope someone was blessed? Ephesians 5:5... don't associate yourself with friends that has no love for God and don't let the evil spirit of lustful enjoyment of the world, kill your love for God. The devil is always ready to destroy the lives of anyone who backslide from Christ. So you need to be prayful and watchful. They have different ways to carry out their operation. They are on a rampage and that is why we need to BRACE UP, putting on the whole armour of Christ. Ephesians 6:10-12. 

Let's support our brethren with prayers and confront any of our brethen who are beginning to backslide. Thank you and God bless you!

THE JOURNEY

Last 2 year, I started a journey on my health and I'm grateful. Even though I wasn't consistent especially after the coaching session but I had to strive to ensure the journey continues even though I fall, I still get myself back  Imagine being a lover of heels and you can't wear it for too long Having to sweat profusely, Having knee ache pains, Sewing new dresses because you can't wear your favorite dress Imagine lot's more because of weight gain, That was me.. Before you go further and think it's only food that cause weight gain.  Mine wasn't, I could say it was stay at home, free hands and no stress kind of reason (I don't know how best to put it) I know I'm not a slim person but I was already weighing 110kg. I know you are going through all shades of different phase, I know you are thinking of what next, I know the hardship is tough and you feel your strength is failing but, This is a reminder To relax, To not get angry over small things, To stay calm. A daily reminder To be yourself, To not care what people think, To know you can be anything. To love yourself, To not hurt yourself, To not work yourself up.
