PART THIRTY SEVEN
They arrived at Pelumi's house, early in the afternoon. The driver was fast, from mowe to Abeokuta.
Adura was surprised, seeing the kind of house they lived.
"My God! Pelumi. You didn't tell me you stay in a mansion" Adura said
"Please don't start and let's go inside" she said and held her hand
"Daddy...I am back" she said as they got inside. Her siblings rushed out to welcome them.
"Where is daddy? She asked
"He has gone to church" Deborah said, one of her siblings
"I have something to tell you" Elizabeth said, the last born said
"Let's sit down first" Adura said as they all sat down.
"Daddy was ordained, as the assistant pastor in church and bro tope is the general secretary for the youth department" Elizabeth said
"Wow...Glory to God" Adura said as Pelumi looked at her with teary eyes.
"Thank you Jesus" she said as she knelt down, singing praises to God and tears were flowing down her eyes..
"Covenant keeping God, thank you Jesus for everything. You said you will change, and do that only you can do. And, you did so..
Jesus, I lift up your name
Jesus, I lift up your name
For there is power in your name
Power in your name o
Jesus I lift up your name
You have done, what no man can do
You will do, what no man can do" Pelumi sang.
Adura joined her in singing and thank God
"I will just act like, I did not know anything" she said
"Yes, that's the best way" Adura said
"Elizabeth and Deborah, please help me carry those bags to the room" she said
"I think we need to call mummy now" Adura said
"Yes" Pelumi said
Stay with me as we journey together

"Wow, this is a great new! I will call him soon" Pastor Jimi said
"No sir. Please, don't call him yet. I heard the news from my sisters and not directly from him" she said

"And you too sir" she said and smiled
"I will dear" he said and hanged the call
"Why are you smiling? Adura asked. She was about answering, when her daddy and bro tope came in.
"Welcome sir" they both greeted

In the presence of God, there is fullness of Joy.
"Hello, why are you so silent? Bro tope asked, as he moved closer to Adura
"Nothing sir, just observing and enjoying the atmosphere" Adura said and smiled
"Okay ma" he said as Pelumi moved closer to them
"Hmm..what is my brother saying to sis Adura" she said and smiled
"Nothing much ma, just asking a question" Adura answered
"Okay ma" she said and they all laughed.
"Now, what are we eating tonight madam? Daddy asked
"Before that, daddy is there anything you will like to share" she asked as daddy and bro tope looked at each other.
"Oh yes but, can we all pray first" he said. They held their hands together and prayed.
"Amen" they all chorused
"Okay...this old man here, has been ordained as the assistant pastor and this young handsome man, has been ordained as the General secretary for the teenagers in province 1, 2 and 3" he said
"Wow! Glory to God. Greater heights, grace and anointing. You shall continue to be a blessing sirs" Pelumi prayed for both of them.
"Congratulations Sirs" Adura said.
"Thank you my children. I have tasted of his powers and I say, it pays to serve God" He said
"Hmm...Yes sir" they all said
"Now, can the celebration begin. Pelumi and Adura, you both are in charge of welfare" he said and they all rejoice.
*Hymn*
It pays to serve Jesus,
I speak from my heart.
He'll always be with us, if we do our part.
There's naught in this wide world can pleasure afford.
There's peace and contentment in serving the lord
*Chorus*
I will love Him far better than in days of yore
I will serve Him more truly than ever before,
I will do as He bids me, whatever the cost,
I'll be a true soldier, I'll die at my post...
I don't know, how many of us know the Hymn. We can sing along, and also make it as a declaration...
God bless us!
Thank you once again, for staying through out the journey. I really appreciate us!
Part 39, will be posted tomorrow by 8:30am
Stay with me as we journey together
