ONE NIGHT

Episode 15

Benjamin and Theophilus were walking home as they were discussing

"What do you think about that new comer Ewa? Bro Theophilus asked

"Well...I can't say much because we didn't talk for so long but she is beautiful and kind of rude. I guess probably because she didn't want any guy to get attached to her so, she is just being careful. I can't say more than this" Benjamin said

"Wow....thank you so much. You don't know how this means to me" Theophilus said

"Hmmm...bro Theophilus, what are you insinuating? Benjamin asked suspiciously

"Bro Ben...I like her, right from the moment I saw her on Sunday but I just want to know her better before jumping into conclusion. There is something about her that I can't just place right apart from her beauty" Theophilus said

"Well....you can't say until, you get close to her. Bro Theophilus seriously I can't believe you too can like a lady. I thought all you like is fire" Benjamin said jokingly

"What do you mean sir? Everyone has a feeling but the love I have for God is greater. It's irreplaceable. What about you Mr word, do you like anyone? Theophilus asked

"Yes, I do" Benjamin said

"Who is she? And does she attend our church? Theophilus asked

"Well...Benjamin was about to answer when a lady shouted from behind "Bro Theophilus". It's a voice from afar

"Who can that be? Theophilus asked as they both turned back

"Ahh...sister Motun" Benjamin said as she was running towards them.

"Calm down ma. What's going on? Theophilus asked her as she stood in front of them gasping for air after the long run

"Do you live around here? Benjamin asked

"Yes, not far from the junction in front" Motun said as she pointed

"Okay...let's all walk together" Theophilus said as they walked together. Benjamin and Theophilus suspended their discussion as Motun kept talking till they got to the bus stop

"At this point, I will have to leave you guys or do you want to know my house? Motun asked

"Ahh...No, we are sorry, we can't do that now. Maybe next time" Theophilus said and Benjamin nodded

"Okay, it's fine. Another time" Motun said and smiled. They waved to each other and proceed to their destination

GOD SLOWS YOU DOWN

​ Sometimes God slows you down so He can show you what you were too busy to notice.  There was a season in my life when everything felt like it was moving backwards. Plans that once flowed easily began to stumble. Doors I thought would open effortlessly suddenly became heavy. I kept asking, “God, why are You slowing me down when I’m finally ready to run?” But the more I struggled to push forward, the more life insisted that I pause. And in that stillness,  the one I didn’t choose  I started to see what I had been too busy to notice. I noticed the habits that were draining my strength. I noticed the people who clapped for me publicly but resented me privately. I noticed the warning signs I had ignored because I was too focused on getting ahead. I noticed me, the me I had been neglecting. God wasn’t punishing me. He was protecting me. He was whispering, “Slow down. A DAILY REMINDER

I know you are going through all shades of different phase, I know you are thinking of what next, I know the hardship is tough and you feel your strength is failing but, This is a reminder To relax, To not get angry over small things, To stay calm. A daily reminder To be yourself, To not care what people think, To know you can be anything. To love yourself, To not hurt yourself, To not work yourself up. This is a daily reminder That you are beautiful, That you can be hardworking  That you are amazing, That you will succeed. To always have hope, To have faith, To know everything will be okay. A daily reminder That you have made it so far already, That you haven't given up, And you are going to be amazing. Don't give up. Keep holding on and believing.  It's a start of a new year and it's too early to feel pressured or insecure God cannot fail you, Be persist in that Job hunt Be persist in trusting God  Be expectant, don't loose guard  Everything will fall in place...
