*MUM AND DAD, I WANT TO DIE*
*PART 1*
This is a fictional story, let nobody assume it happened to somebody. I pray God breathe on you as you read through. Stay blessed.
My name is Ijeoma Adefarakola, I am 18years old and as my name implies, I belong to two tribes. My dad is Yoruba and my mum from Enugu state....Well, now you know a bit about me but I would like to tell how it all started because along the story, I would be telling more about myself and I know some are anxious to know what was wrong. Let me start from the beginning ...
*How It Started*
It all started at the age of 15, when I was in ss1. I attended a public school, GLORIOUS CHILD COLLEGE. It is one of the best and recognised public school ever. I was not just the usual public school student, I was a neat, average and beautiful student.
Can you imagine how that was the beginning of my suicide mission???
I was going to school like every other public students does, trekking even though the distance of my house to school was far but what could I do, I came from an average home. Suddenly, my colleague walking in front of me, started running. I checked everywhere to know what was going on but i couldn't find anything wrong. I ran and tried to ask one of them what happened but I couldn't meet up with them, they ran so fast.
While I was trying to rest a little, Ademiji our punctuality perfect hit my bag and I fell down. He looked back, winked at me and said he was sorry. I took advantage of that to ask what happened and why he was running. He also didn't stop running as he pointed to his wrist watch. At first, I was annoyed because no one could just stop running and tell me what exactly is going on. I thought about his response, pointing to the wrist watch as I checked mine to see if he was referring to my watch. It was then I realize why everyone was running, lateness. I have forgotten ever since the new principal Mr Obanikoro came in, he established a new rules and regulations which lateness attracts a lot of wicked punishment.
I quickly stopped a bus going towards my direction, I couldn't ran because I didn't have the strength and I haven't eaten in the morning. I substituted my lunch money for the bus money. The thought of getting to school early was on my mind and I didn't notice the conductor had been talking to me as he tapped me. With a frustrated and annoyed look, I looked up but everything changed the moment I set my eyes on him. He is so handsome with gap teeth and I wondered why he is the conductor. I was still in my dreamland when he tapped me again and asked for his money. I smiled as I dipped my hands into my pocket to give him the money. I forgot about the lateness and was looking at him until the voice of students brought me back to my world and I realized I have gotten to my destination, I looked at him and got down from the bus.
I was still looking at him as I walked towards the school gate and he smiled as the bus drove off
"Oh my God, he is so cute" I said loudly as my friend, Priscilla tapped me. Thank God she didn't hear what I said because I wasn't ready to explain anything as we entered the school. I got to school 5 minutes before the assembly. All through the assembly period, I couldn't stop myself from smiling.
Only if Ijeoma knew the journey ahead of her was greater than crushing at the conductor....
Stay with me.....
Part 2 would be posted tomorrow
