*I AM ALSO ABLE*
These are the words I scream everything I see people looking down at me...."l am also able"
Why can't people just look beyond
I’m disabled not foolish
I 'm disabled, Not Stupid
Some people can be so ignorant
I know they're not to be
blamed
They see me in my wheelchair
And say “Aw, isn't it a shame”?
Some even make it too obvious by point and staring...
“Hello, I’m fine”
Just because I am disabled,
Don't mean my brain is disabled.
I know there are many thing you do but I can also do it in my own way
I'd like to go on holidays
But I stay at home instead
Because no matter where I go
I will still need an assistance
I am sick and tired of the trauma I go through everyday
It's annoying even the people you think you trust,
Still say shit behind me
It's not my fault I was born this way.
Everyday I wish I wish can do things normally and not,
Differently...
My legs may no longer work
But my brain power is perfect
So next time you see me in the town
Please have some respect
If you'd like to know how I am
Don't be afraid to ask and stop poking,
My disability isn't catching
And it isn't a difficult task
I'll tell you how I am
And I’ll ask how you are too
Overlook my disability
It isn’t hard to do
Show your affection and care but,
Don't look down on me" Cynthia said to the crowd
Dear sisters
How you treat people, really matters especially the differently abled.
We live in a society where by we are so inquisitive and after that, we begin to spread the new.
Let's try to respect and show love to them in truth.
Enough of sidelining them,
They are always human being.
They wake up everyday hoping and believing to find the best and be a better person.
So please wherever you find them.
Treat them like human beings
They don't want to be pitied but to be loved.
So, let's help bring the best out of them in our own ways.
God bless us!
