ONE NIGHT

Episode 23

Ewa could hear the voice of someone weepy loud as she smiled and raised up her head only to find Arinola still seating beside her with her head bow.

Then the person who was crying, stood up and went to the front. Ewa bowed her head back and began to pray. After few minutes, she raised her head only to realize Arinola wasn't beside her

"Has she gone home" she thought as she looked left, right and back searching for her. Finally, as she turned her head to the front, she spot her dress at a corner. She was so glad as she tapped funto who was still praying

"Arinola... Is in the front. She is among those who are ready to dedicate her life to Christ" she said joyfully

"I knew God was going to visit her soon. Thank you Jesus. You remembered that night we prayed together? Funto said

" Y......e......s" Ewa said

"I knew something great was about to happen but I couldn't picture how. Thank you Jesus. Finally, our long time prayer has been answered. Glory to God" Funto said

"Yes o...all glory to God and I pray this journey shall be filled with lots of encounter, pruning, teaching and testimonies in the lives of everyone of them" Ewa said as they both echoed "Amen"

The pastor prayer for then, after saying the salvation prayer and he instructed them to follow the head usher waving his hands. After that, he prayed for the church generally and he dropped the microphone as Bro Theophilus went to take the announcement. He prayed for Pastor John and then moved to the announcement.

He called the first timers as funto and some other people stood up. People came to welcome them as funto received them with smiles. After, the collection of offering and titles were done. Simeon, the Music Director stood up to take the family song and led them in closing prayer.

Ewa and Funto prayed on their seat before sis faith called out the first timer for a brief meeting.

"You are also leaving me behind. This is not fair o" Ewa said

"Okay then, come and join the first timers or would you rather go and join Arinola upstairs" Funto said jokingly

"Haba...it hasn't gotten to that, I will wait on my own. Shall bring all the whole goody goody here o" Ewa said as Funto smiled and left

Ewa was about to plug in her earpuds when Pastor John approached her

"Hello ma...it's good to see you again. I didn't have the chance to meet you the first time you came. I am sorry" He said calmly

"It's fine sir and I appreciate this" Ewa said as she smiled

"God bless you ma" He said

"Amen" Ewa said and he left.

Few minutes later, she felt a tap on her shoulder and said "Oh funto, you are back. Am coming let me close this page" . Her full attention was on her phone and as she raised her head, she was surprised at who she saw...

THE JOURNEY

Last 2 year, I started a journey on my health and I'm grateful. Even though I wasn't consistent especially after the coaching session but I had to strive to ensure the journey continues even though I fall, I still get myself back  Imagine being a lover of heels and you can't wear it for too long Having to sweat profusely, Having knee ache pains, Sewing new dresses because you can't wear your favorite dress Imagine lot's more because of weight gain, That was me.. Before you go further and think it's only food that cause weight gain.  Mine wasn't, I could say it was stay at home, free hands and no stress kind of reason (I don't know how best to put it) I know I'm not a slim person but I was already weighing 110kg. I know you are going through all shades of different phase, I know you are thinking of what next, I know the hardship is tough and you feel your strength is failing but, This is a reminder To relax, To not get angry over small things, To stay calm.
