ONE NIGHT

Episode 25

Pastor John, called the Excos for a brief meeting

"Thank you everyone for sacrificing your time to be here. God bless you all and I pray God reward us bountifully" Pastor John said

"Amen" they all chorused

"We thank God for what He has been doing in the church and we have been increasing greatly. Today, 25 souls were won to the Kingdom" He said as he paused to get some response

"God be praised. More souls shall be won to God" Sis faith said

"Amen" they all chorused

"So, I thought of how to keep feeding them with the word of God so that, it can enhance their growth. You know, we can't just leave them like that. We have to ensure they grow and that's where everyone falls in. You know, I can't do it alone. What do you as individual, suggest we cab do? Pastor John asked them as he await their response

"Sir, I think we should create a group either on WhatsApp or Telegram and add them there. After that, we can create a teaching roaster for everyone to participate in it" Motun said as everyone nodded

"Well...that's a good suggestion ma but what if they need someone to share things with. I think for some people, it will be difficult for them to drop their message publicly. Some prefer a direct message to someone they can be accountable to. I don't know if we all understand me? Pastor John asked

"Yes sir, I do. I think the best way is that everyone of us, should check on them personally and let them decide on their own, on who they will love to be committed to and also, we can still go with Sis Motun's suggestion. We will do both of them and I pray God strengthen us" Faith said as they all said "Amen"

"Sis Faith... Thank you for that wisdom. The lord bless you for us. Please, let's give our best to see God being glorified in their lives" Pastor John said

"Amen" Faith said as she was smiling effortlessly and also Benjamin

"Gradually, we can fix retreat for them and I believe they will be useful to God" Pastor John said

"Amen...Sir, do you think we can still have our hang out? Bro Theophilus asked 

"Not for now sir. We can talk about that later. Bro Simeon, please pray for us" Pastor John said as he prayed.

After the meeting, Bro Theophilus went to meet Benjamin....

"Bro Ben....Bro Ben" Pastor Theophilus said as he smiled

GOD SLOWS YOU DOWN

​ Sometimes God slows you down so He can show you what you were too busy to notice.  There was a season in my life when everything felt like it was moving backwards. Plans that once flowed easily began to stumble. Doors I thought would open effortlessly suddenly became heavy. I kept asking, “God, why are You slowing me down when I’m finally ready to run?” But the more I struggled to push forward, the more life insisted that I pause. And in that stillness,  the one I didn’t choose  I started to see what I had been too busy to notice. I noticed the habits that were draining my strength. I noticed the people who clapped for me publicly but resented me privately. I noticed the warning signs I had ignored because I was too focused on getting ahead. I noticed me, the me I had been neglecting. God wasn’t punishing me. He was protecting me. He was whispering, “Slow down. A DAILY REMINDER

I know you are going through all shades of different phase, I know you are thinking of what next, I know the hardship is tough and you feel your strength is failing but, This is a reminder To relax, To not get angry over small things, To stay calm. A daily reminder To be yourself, To not care what people think, To know you can be anything. To love yourself, To not hurt yourself, To not work yourself up. This is a daily reminder That you are beautiful, That you can be hardworking  That you are amazing, That you will succeed. To always have hope, To have faith, To know everything will be okay. A daily reminder That you have made it so far already, That you haven't given up, And you are going to be amazing. Don't give up. Keep holding on and believing.  It's a start of a new year and it's too early to feel pressured or insecure God cannot fail you, Be persist in that Job hunt Be persist in trusting God  Be expectant, don't loose guard  Everything will fall in place...
