DAY 24
FOCUS ON HIM
*Psalm 91: 9-15*
9
AMP:Because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place,
10
AMP:There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or calamity come near your tent.
11
AMP:For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways [of obedience and service].
12
AMP:They shall bear you up on their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone.
13
AMP:You shall tread upon the lion and adder; the young lion and the serpent shall you trample underfoot.
14
AMP:Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness—trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never].
15
AMP:He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
*Isaiah 26:3-4*
3
AMP:You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You.
4
AMP:So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages].
Many of us struggle with so many things and many of us are being weighed down by the trials of life. If you would just focus on God you would understand that these things are just so little compared to Him. Why do you think God tells us to be still? When we are not still our mind is going to be filled with so much noise from the trials around us. Sometimes you have to run and be alone with the Lord and be still before Him. Allow Him to calm your fears and worries.
God is who He says He is. He is our shelter, our provider, our healer, our strength, etc. When you’re so focused on God in the midst of trials that shows a heart that trusts in the Lord. There are many times in your life when you sit and worry, but instead why aren’t you praying? I believe this is one of the main reasons why people struggle with depression. We dwell on the negative and we let these thoughts simmer into our soul instead of seeking our God. The best antidote for worry is worship.
*Prayers*
*Lord help me be focused on you, no matter the challenges, struggle, etc.
*Help me to trust you till the end Jesus.
*Continue to prayer privately*
God bless you
