THE JOURNEY OF LIFE

 *THE DOCTORS CALL*

 *Episode 11*

The sound of Mrs Alabi hitting the table, while praying woke Tolani. She looked at the time; it was 7:30am.

“Ohhhh today is Sunday Tolani said as she yawned and tapped Ibukun to wake up.

"What is going on? It's unusual; to wake up late on Sunday's for God sake" Her thoughts as she walked towards the sitting room.

"What? Where is mummy and everybody? She asked but there was no response. Then, she realized she was the only one in the sitting room.

She walked towards silver room, to wake her.

"Aunty Silver" she said as she knocked.

"Who be that? Silver asked.

"Arggghhh..aunty silver and her horrible English. I wonder, why mummy like Contonu girls" She murmured and replied Its Tolani.

"Aunty Tolani, I no know na you (I don't know you are the one)" She said as she stood up to open the door.

"Please, do not call me aunty. Tolani is okay" She said.

Silver always find it difficult to communicate with Tolani and her siblings, because they don't always understand her. It's only mama and mummy that understood her and no one, is not around to make her understand.

"Chai, see what oyinbo (English) has caused" Miss Abosede said as she paused to make them laugh and she continued..

"Did mummy come to your room today? Tolani asked as she used her hands to demonstrate, for her to understand.

“No. Mummy never come here” Silver replied as she waved her hand.

“Okay" She said as she closed the door..

She was almost at the entrance of the room, when she heard the voice of someone praying. She knew it was her mom and she walked towards her room

Mrs Alabi did not close her door, as Tolani walked in quietly. Mrs Alabi did not notice when she entered, she was still praying with tears dropping from her face.

"Mummy…" Tolani shouted.

Mrs Alabi turned her face and she was surprised to see Tolani in her room.

"My love" She replied.

Tolani could not talk or move, as she was looking at her mum teary and swollen face.

After a while, she shifted her gaze from her mum to the room. She looked round and couldn't find her dad. Immediately, the thought of him beating mummy, came to her mind.

"Come closer dear" Mrs Alabi said as Tolani was revived, from her wonder land.

"Where is daddy? And why are you crying?  She asked to know if her thoughts were right.

"Tolani, have you forgotten daddy travelled" Mrs Alabi replied.

"Ohhh, yes. That's true but I thought, he should be back" She said and still curious to know.

"Yes, he is coming" Mrs Alabi replied as tears kept rolling down.

Tolani moved closer to her and she asked "Mummy, tell me what is going on?

"Nothing dear, go and wake everyone. I would bath now and prepare something to eat" She said as she was struggling to control her tears.

"Okay ma, but are we not going to church? Tolani asked.

"No ooo, we have to wait for daddy to come back She said and urged her to go and wake everyone.

Mr Abu and Mr Apata were discussing, when the doctor called the nurse and he requested to see Mr Apata in his office now.

"Sir, the doctor requested you see him in his office now" The nurse said.

“Okay" the both of them replied.

"Not you sir" She said, as she pointed to Mr Abu. Mr Abu was stunned as he sat glued on the spot.

Mr Apata looked at him and he said "We can go in together"

"No o, you hear wetin she talk. She say make I sit here, and watch you waka go(She said I should sit and watch you go" Mr Abu said.

Mr Apata couldn't stop laughing, as he drew his hand "Oga let's go joor" He said.

Stay with me as we journey together

Last 2 year, I started a journey on my health and I'm grateful. Even though I wasn't consistent especially after the coaching session but I had to strive to ensure the journey continues even though I fall, I still get myself back  Imagine being a lover of heels and you can't wear it for too long Having to sweat profusely, Having knee ache pains, Sewing new dresses because you can't wear your favorite dress Imagine lot's more because of weight gain, That was me.. Before you go further and think it's only food that cause weight gain.  Mine wasn't, I could say it was stay at home, free hands and no stress kind of reason (I don't know how best to put it) I know I'm not a slim person but I was already weighing 110kg. Lolz, 2 bags of cement. Then I told myself Temilade, it has to change  I found the solution DIET, It was at the point where I realized I couldn't be myself and also seeing changes, I decided to take my health serious  I subscribed to a di...

This is a daily reminder That you are beautiful, That you can be hardworking  That you are amazing, That you will succeed. To always have hope, To have faith, To know everything will be okay. A daily reminder That you have made it so far already, That you haven't given up, And you are going to be amazing. Don't give up. Keep holding on and believing.  It's a start of a new year and it's too early to feel pressured or insecure God cannot fail you, Be persist in that Job hunt Be persist in trusting God  Be expectant, don't loose guard  Everything will fall in place...
