BUTTERFLY FEELINGS 2


"Ahn Ahn...Deborah. What's happening to you? Do you know nowadays all you do is to complain and yet I don't even understand you" Mary said

"Don't bother Mary. It will be fine. It's just a phase and it will be over soon" Deborah said as she frowned her face.

"I insist, tell me what's going on. Say it anyhow, I will understand. Just let me know what's happening in your life" Mary said

"Okay, I will. Actually, it's about the position given to me 6 month ago. I don't think I can continue again. I am tired and I want to do something else with my life. It's taking most of my time and many things are happening in my life now. I need breathing space, I feel choked and i also want to grow" Deborah lamented as Mary laughed.

"Mary...why are you laughing? It's not funny o. I am serious. I can't continue again" Deborah said angrily.

"Seriously Debo (short name for Deborah). I am sorry but I don't know why..... Mary couldn't finish her statement as she started laughing. Deborah kept quiet and didn't say anything. When Mary realized how serious she was, she tried to comport herself.

"Deborah...seriously I can't believe you can say all these. If you don't remember, let me remind you of those months you left me and was feeling high because of this same position you carefully forced yourself into and you succeeded. So, why the complain? Mary said as Deborah looked at her.

"Yes...you drastically changed because of this position and almost forced everyone to respect you by your words and actions. I knew a day like this will come because your motive towards it wasn't right.

Yes, you made people without a position feel less. The same unqualified Mary who couldn't advise you then, is the same Mary you can talk to now. I am not saying all these because I have something against you. No, I have forgiven you a longtime ago. I am just saying this so that I can remind you of those butterfly feelings and energy you used at the beginning" Mary said

"Mary, I understand you perfectly and I am sorry for how I reacted. I really respect you because you didn't react to any of my foolishness then and now but I don't feel the same way like before. The feelings are gone" Deborah said soberly

"What happened? Mary asked but Deborah sighed.

Hmm..

What happened?
What happened to those butterfly feelings?
What happened to those tingling feelings you had at first?
Where is that energy and passion you used at the beginning?
What happened?

Many people are in this position because of wrong motives from the beginning.

Remember, you are given that position for the glorification of God and it's not about you. The work of God must keep moving and His works can't be done by feeling. The works of God is done sacrificially. Giving your all to Him, Surrendering all to Him.

Are you ready to sacrifice?

Leadership is not about position. Everyone is born a leader. Even in your family, either you are the 1st, 2nd or 3rd born, even last born. You are a leader because some people are looking up to you and that's responsibility. So, leadership isn't about being an executive or holding a position either in office, church, etc.

Please, whatever is committed in your hands. Do it right. Do the work of God well in love and not to manage. Don't chase or push everyone around you because of those butterfly feelings at the beginning.

Love your assignment and love everyone,
Don't be proud,
Don't be rude,
Don't do eyes-service,
Be intentional
Be diligent with your assignment and let God reward you.

If at any point, you feel tired of the assignment committed to you. Probably, you can't meet up with it anymore. You can discuss it with the leader in charge and find your way out, instead of doing the work out of self pity.

I pray God help us...Amen! We learn everyday.

THE JOURNEY

Last 2 year, I started a journey on my health and I'm grateful. Even though I wasn't consistent especially after the coaching session but I had to strive to ensure the journey continues even though I fall, I still get myself back  Imagine being a lover of heels and you can't wear it for too long Having to sweat profusely, Having knee ache pains, Sewing new dresses because you can't wear your favorite dress Imagine lot's more because of weight gain, That was me.. Before you go further and think it's only food that cause weight gain.  Mine wasn't, I could say it was stay at home, free hands and no stress kind of reason (I don't know how best to put it) I know I'm not a slim person but I was already weighing 110kg. I know you are going through all shades of different phase, I know you are thinking of what next, I know the hardship is tough and you feel your strength is failing but, This is a reminder To relax, To not get angry over small things, To stay calm.
