*HIS ARRIVAL*
*Episode 13*
Mrs Alabi, informed mama and her pastor about the accident, as she took silver and the children, to her aunt's house.
She explained everything to her, and told her not to tell the children. She waved to them as she proceeds to leave.
"Mummy, where are you going? David asked as she was about to leave.
"I would be back soon" She said.
"How soon? Ibukun asked.
"I..... (Still searching for what to say before her aunty responded) Mummy what to go and greet someone" she said.
"Alright mummy" They chorused. She thanked her aunty and left the house.
Finally, she arrived at the hospital, though the journey was stressful. She picked her phone to call Mr Abu.
"Hello sir, I am at the hospital" She said.
"Oh... Okay. Thank God" He said as he rushed out to welcome her.
"Welcome ma, come in ma" He said.
"Thank you sir for everything, God bless you sir" She said.
She looked pitiful and her swollen face showed she has been weeping.
"It is going to be fine madam. Let's put our trust and faith in God" Mr Abu said as he pitied her.
"Yes sir" she said, as she was fighting the tears that wanted to pop out.
Mr Abu led her to the doctor's office. After so much discussion with the doctor, she decided to transfer her husband to the family hospital. The doctor agreed to her request as he prepared an ambulance to covey them to Lagos. She thanked him for his understanding and also, thanked Mr Abu and Mr Apata. She prayed for them as she departed from the hospital.
Few hours later, she got to her Hospital (Christ Rock hospital) and she called out for assistance. The nurses ran towards her, as they brought Mr Alabi down from the vehicle into the hospital.
She went straight into the doctors office and she explained everything to him and he rushed towards the theater room to see him.
“We have to conduct the surgery immediately, and I need you to sign this form" Doctor said as he gave her the form.
Mrs Alabi signed it as the doctor, entered the operation room. She continued in prayers.
Finally, the surgery was successful and everyone was glad. Mrs Alabi thanked everyone around her. She called mama and her aunty to inform them about the success of the surgery. They all rejoiced with her and she thanked God even though, he still had to use crutches but she knows it's for a while.
Days after, Mr Alabi returned home with his crutches and everyone kept staring at him, some were talking, some were laughing and some pitied him but none of these bothered him, as they walked inside the compound with their church members.
Tolani and her siblings were back from their aunt's house but, she had to plait her hair and Ibukun followed her. So, it was David, silver and Mrs Ajanlekoko (Aunt) that were around when they came in. Mrs Alabi, told the pastor to lead them in prayers. He was still praying, when Tolani and Ibukun got home. It was the foot wears in front of the door that got their attention.
"Why are people much in our house today? Tolani thought and she opened the door. The first thing she saw was the crutches and she looked up, to the person sitting beside it
"Daddy!!! Why? She screamed and fell on the ground. The pastor stopped and they turned back. There was Tolani weeping and rolling, as Ibukun was looking dumb. Mrs Alabi rushed towards Tolani and her sister but Tolani ran into her room as the sitting room became unbearable for her to stay.
She locked up herself, as she began to cry and write.
“Why God? I thought I was at the healing point. I thought my family was getting restored but God why?
It was already getting dark as Mrs Alabi, thanked and escorted everyone who came to greet them. Mr Alabi thanked his wife as he could not face his children.
Horrible things kept going on, until the day the landlord brought them a letter of leave, asking them to vacate his house within three days. A part of them was happy and another was feeling bad.
