THE JOURNEY OF LIFE

 *RELOCATION*

 *Episode 14*

Mr and Mrs Alabi had their site located at Magboro along Lagos, Ibadan express road, Ogun state. They thanked the landlord and planned, when to leave and how to pack their properties. Some days after, they decided to leave in the evening, when everyone would be inside their house.

As they journeyed towards Ibafo, Tolani thought of whom she would miss Nobody, maybe her sit partner in school (Bimbo)”. The journey was quite long, as there was total silence in the vehicle.

Finally, they arrived at Magboro and offloaded their properties. It was a two storey building with four flats which has not been completed; just one of the flats was completed. No gate, and the environment was so bushy but they were still thankful. They entered the house and arranged how to sleep because it was already late.

Tolani could not sleep because it was a new environment; she sat upright and began to pray within

"Dear God please, let this be the start of a new journey in our lives and home. Take away the old me and bring a new being. Let love be restored into my family, Let David life be changed totally, Let everything be the start of something new...Amen. She laid back to sleep as tears were flowing down.

"Poor Tolani, I pity her so much. At her age, she lived with so much pain and struggles which were unseen to her parent or anyone. God help her" Kunle said.

"Amen" they all chorused except Kikelomo, who was weeping profusely. Miss Abosede looked at her and continued.

Early in the morning, Mr Alabi woke his wife and suggested he get an Aboki who specialize in straighten the bone, so that he could resume early in the office without the crutches.

"Thats a great idea. Let me ask aunty Bimpe" She said and picked her phone, as she called her aunt and discussed with her. After some minutes, they ended the call.

“She promised to call me, as soon as she gets someone" She said as she dropped her phone and stood up.

The thought of what to do next, came to her mind since she was on leave…

"God please, help me" She prayed and woke her children up as they walked round the environment, before starting a proper arrangement.

Mr Alabi was thinking about his life, when he remembered one of his friends who also stays in Magboro. Immediately, he picked his phone to call him.

"Hello ore, se daada ni? [I hope you are fine?] he said

"Yes o. Mo wa o [I am fine]. Longest time, how are you doing and how is family? Mr Adams, his friend asked

"I am doing fine and family is doing well. I called to inform you that I am in Magboro" he said

“Really How come? What are you doing in Ibafo? Mr Adams asked

"Its a long story o" he said

“Okay, where are you now? Mr Adams asked and he told him

"Wow, my house isnt far from there. I am busy now, but I will surely some Mr Adams said

“Alright, we will talk better, when you come he said and they hanged the call.

Few hours later, Mr Adams arrived with his children. They both attended the same church, back in Lagos.

He was surprised at the state he met Mr Alabi and he asked What happened? And how did it happen?

Mr Alabi ushered him in, while his children was outside with his wife. He explained everything to him.

"Never give up and do not be depressed. Everything will come back to the right way" Mr Adams said and he prayed with him. Mrs Alabi and the children came in and they couldn't talk as expected because, it was time for the arrangement. Mr Adams and his children joined them and at exactly 8pm, he left their place because he had something urgent to do at home.

A month later, Mr Alabi's leg could not straighten his legs because he needed to resume to work. Nevertheless, he was still happy that he doesn't have to fully depend on those crutches. He resumed working with immediate effect and everyone was happy to see him. Mrs Alabi also resumed to her office, though it was quite stressful for her, going to Lagos and the work load at home.

She informed her aunty, about helping her get a house help.

Tolani and her siblings also, attended the same school with Mr Adams children. Tolani began to lose focus, she thought her family was getting united again but No, things didn't work out as she planned. Mrs Alabi had to call mama to stay with her children since she couldn't get any house help.

Gradually, David's act of stealing became worst and it was unseen to his parent, only Tolani noticed it.

Mr and Mrs Alabi were too busy, with office work and Tolani wondered why her mother forgot her motherly role.

One day, Mrs Alabi was in the office when her phone rang. She picked up her call and she screamed What!!!

Stay with me as we journey together

Happy new month FAM..
