*TOLANI*
*Episode 16*
Mrs Alabi and her children ran to the kitchen, only to find the pot of soup on the floor.
"Whaaaattt! What have you done? And why did you do this? Mrs Alabi asked.
"I am the head of this family and you have no right to question my actions" He replied angrily.
"Oh okay, this is how to behave as the head of the family abi. Surely, you are a beast and there's no life in you. You are foolish, irresponsible and manner less. You call yourself the head yet, you cannot control your anger" Mrs Alabi said, though she was scared and she knew she shouldn't have said those words but he really frustrated her and she spoke out of anger with fear.
Those words touched him and instead of him to retaliate, he looked at her and the children as he walked out to clear his mind.
Sometimes, when he gets angry he sends all of them out and locked the door till the next day. They will have to sleep in the uncompleted flat.
Tolani was disappointed and angry; she never believed he could behave in such act. After what she saw, she hated him and prays for his death. He stole her peace and she was always being careful around him.
*YEARS LATER*
Tolani in her Adolescent stage grew up to a beautiful, attractive and chubby young girl with nice curves. She was tagged as Miss endowed, both the front and back was balanced with a wide hips.
Her long natural eyelashes were the weakness of every guy that crossed her way. She reigned as a queen and every guy desired to fit in as the king but nobody seems to understand her.
She snubbed every guy, as her father robbed her mentality about guys with his attitude. He made her shut her heart, towards guys and she hated them without reasons. Her home, broke her foundation and gave her a wrong definition of love, he made her heartless.
Sometimes, she tried to like them but every guy seems bad and wrong to her.
Can Tolani, still change her mind set about guys or remain the same?...
Mr Alabi changed Tolani and Daniel school. He placed them in the same school, so that they can look after each other. That was how Tolani stopped attending the same school with Mr Adams child, Rebecca, who became her friend after some months though, she was older than her.
Rebecca understood Tolani and there was nothing, she did not know about her. Her family issues, her life, etc. but the only thing she was confused about was her personality.
Tolani was always free, jovial and playful around her but it's always the reverse at home and around people.
"Could it be that she has two personalities or she is so shy" Rebecca always thought.
Tolani was in SS1, science department and the guys had tried talking to her, but her serious look gave them a sign of no going area. She was being careful because most of the guys are enticed by what they saw, her curves and all.
She tried to be friendly with her sit partner, Thomas as she had observed him and she saw he has a good and plain heart. She promised herself to disqualify him, if he tries any nonsense with her. Within a short period of time, she and Thomas became friends and all the guys thought they were dating.
"This girl is strange o. How did Thomas managed to gain her attention" Ebuka thought, one of her classmates said but Miss Abosede continued.
Aside from the people in her class, other guys in other departments liked her. Even the guys in her brother's class, but they were all scared of what David could do to them.
Opemipo, a commercial student of her set had loved her, since the day he met her and coincidentally, they met again.
Tolani was walking up the stairs in school and Opemipo was running down the stairs as his eyes were fixed to his notes and suddenly, there was a collision between them.
"Oh, I am sorry" They both said as they gazed at each other. Opemipo smiled as he picked his book from the floor.
"I have to go to my class" He said
"Yes, you should" Tolani said as she smiled and stepped aside for him to pass.
She looked back as she admired his smile.
