*THE REVEALED PERSONALITY/ENCOUNTER*
*Episode 26*
Tolani became uncomfortable, due to what Tara said in the afternoon. She picked her phone and browsed on low self-esteem. She found all the characteristics of someone with low self-esteem and immediately, she knew she was struggling with it.
She was dependent on people's words. She doesn't believe in herself. She placed her esteem on what people say about her. The most painful thing was that, she does not look at mirror because she believed she was too fat, she does not have perfect brows and figure. She waited for the praises of men, [male and female] on whatever she does or wears to feel good.
As she was reading them, tears were flowing down from her cheeks and she blamed her parents because they were the cause of whatever was going on with her. That was her unknown personality which was not clear to everyone, especially herself. She believed she does not have to tell Tara because she knew about it; she only needed her to help her out.
Tolani went to Tara; she told her everything she has been facing, and what she was experiencing in their family. Tara felt her pain, as she told her about her family experience. Both of them understood each other, and Tolani realized that she was not the only one facing some challenges in life.
"Tolani, you are beautifully and wonderfully made. You dont need to put your trust on what people tell you. Learn to make decision yourself, dont be overshadowed by how life treat you and also, pray to God to help you identify yourself more" Tara said and that was the beginning of her recovery process.
After their discussion, they decided to read their books as the second semester exams were fast approaching.
Tolani was through with her exams, and she was expecting her results as she stayed back in school. After checking her result, she felt as if she was cursed as her scores were not showing the reward of her hard works.
"Lord, why is everything not working for me? My family, my life, my relationship and now, my academic. What is happening to me? She said and cried loud.
"Its going to be fine" Tara said
"No, its not going to be fine" Tolani said as tears were flowing down.
"It is, remember we are facing this together" she said
"But you have B and A. I dont have any; it is Cs and Es. My G.p [Grade Point] is decreasing, what will I tell my parent? They wont even believe me. I cant fail" Tara she said
"I also had C and E Tolani. Though, it might not be all through but believe me, I understand you. Remember, I still have a carry-over that I have to write. What if you are the one, what will you do? You should be grateful" She said in tears.
She could not say anything, as tears were flowing down. In the evening, they strolled out of the hostel, to discuss as they do not know what to do. They prayed and cried passionately. After, they decided to read harder in 200 level and also, planned what to do and how to execute their plans.
For each level, there was a bigger challenge awaiting her. In 200 level, she was introduced to her course properly. She disliked Bch [Biochemistry] because of the ways the lecturer taught them, it made her lose interest to know more. The interesting part of her course was the dissection session.
Few of the students fainted on the first day, some could not eat meat for days and some were having night mare about the Cadavers but Tolani who had been strong, was bold to pass through the phase.
Tolani and Tara moved out of the hostel, to a flat. Also, Tolani changed her church to winners students fellowship (WSF), it was the church her school father was pastoring. The church and her school father helped and contributed to her growth spiritually. She became closer to her school father ever than before, since they now see each other every day. He told her about a yearly students global congress and the impact of the congress in his life. So, she decided to go for the next one.
Getting there, she was not comfortable with the program settings, she had limited time to sleep but she was getting blessed. The Day 3 of the congress was the day Apostle Joshua Selman would be ministering, as she tried all her best to see him as everyone was shouting and clapping. She has heard a lot about him from her school father but all her effort to see him, proved wrong as they were lot of people ahead of her.
So, she sat down and was enjoying the atmosphere as she was wondering, why people were screaming and rejoicing when they saw him.
While Apostle Selman was singing;

Something she could not explain, took her up from the sit and that was where she had her first encounter with God and also, where her life turned around as God encountered her in different ways. She submitted her life, totally to God as she became a new creation. Before she went for the congress, she had been giving her life to Christ severally, when there was an altar call. She had no understanding about it but after that day, understanding came with just one encounter.
She cried, screamed and rolled on the floor at the sound of his voice as he was singing.
The more he sang the song, the more the presence of God wrapped her. After he finished singing, she became calm and she was moved to the back of the auditorium to avoid distraction. Few of the pastors, came to meet her and asked her what she saw but all she was saying was "I would go; I would go and preach the gospel. I am sorry lord" and she was weeping uncontrollable.
Her legs kept vibrating, and she could not understand what was going on with her. She encountered the presence of God. She made confession with her mouth and accepted the life of Christ. It was a huge blessing for her that year and she promised, to be going for the congress every year as long as she was in school and after. After the encounter she had, she had several encounters and she became more interested about her spiritual growth personally and this time, she finally broke up with Ayomide as she had another person she was in love with, Holy Spirit
"Glory to God. Hallelujah!!!" Bola one of the students shouted
"We shall continue again tomorrow" Miss Abosede said, as they all grumbled.
