THE JOURNEY OF LIFE

 *NEW BORN*

 *Episode 20*

The punishment Tolani received was three days of fasting and prayers in church, with cleaning of the environment. She gladly received it, as she felt she needed it.

After what she had been through, she decided to give love a break. Rebecca pitied her, because every of her love story was bad.

Mr Alabi forgives David as he asked him to return home, everyone was happy as they missed him. He prostrated, as he begged his daddy that he would turn a new being.

Some month later,

Tolani sat in the room, and was checking through some of their recent pictures. She couldn't stop smiling and at the same time, she was crying as she remembered her past mistakes and how life was treating her. Then, the face of her mum got her attention.

For the past few months, Mrs Alabi had being behaving differently. She had been so energetic and hardworking though, there was house help at home but she virtually does everything at home, and Tolani kept wondering where her strength came from. Her mode of dressing was also different and she knew something was going on, but she cant just figure out.

Months later, Tolani woke up at night to use the toilet and she realized the door was opened. She woke David and Ibukun but Ibukun, has a bad sleeping habits as she didn't react to Tolani's calls. It was only David who answered her. They became confused as they started praying, since they don't know what to do.

Suddenly, Mr Alabi car distracted them as he rushed in and he met them in the sitting room. He smiled as he said "Good News"

David and Tolani looked at themselves, because they didn't understand.

"Okay, your mum has given birth to a bouncing baby girl" He said.

Surprised, they looked at themselves as they still couldn't understand. Mr Alabi understood their look but he smiled and said "Have you ever thought about some changes in her, for months? Why her dressing changed? Why she had swollen face? I know you are both surprised but she was pregnant, though it wasn't really obvious”

"Oooo". Tolani said. He rushed inside the room, to get something's and told them he would be back.

David and Tolani were happy, even though they were still surprised. They woke Ibukun up again and this time, she responded well and they told her about the news. She screamed and danced round the sitting room, as they all sat in the sitting room expecting the baby.

"I am happy it's a girl” Ibukun said.

"I wished it was a boy but nevertheless, am happy and I am still the boss" David said and Tolani was just smiling, as she prayed to have the kind of stomach her mummy had during pregnancy stage.

Mr and Mrs Alabi arrived at home with the baby, as they met their children in the sitting room sleeping. Mr Alabi tapped them, and the next thing they requested for was the baby.

Mrs Alabi smiled as she told them to go and have their bath, so as to play with baby. They happily went to bath, especially Ibukun. They informed Grandma about the new born baby. She was so happy and she promised to come over to their place, the next day.

Days after, was the naming ceremony. Relatives, friends, church members, office mates and family, came around as the baby was given 10 names but the name Mr and Mrs Alabi chose to call her was Miracle. Her birth was truly a miracle and their pastor testified to that.

Everyone ate and packed home. Tolani prayed that the birth of Miracle should bring miracles into their family. Mrs Alabi received a lot of money and gifts, as she packed some gifts to her shop for sale.

Miracle was a beautiful baby; everyone adores and always wanted to carry. Sometimes, grandma gets angry as everyone rushed towards her and carries her before entering the church. She could not get enough of her.

Also, Mr and Mrs Fakoya, their church member would carry her home and bring her back as they loved her so much and saw her as their own child, since they were childless.

"O ga o. The girl too fine be that" Kunle said as Miss Abosede smiled and continued.

Few months later, things turned upside down and got worst. As they faced a lot of battle, pains, etc. from Church, relatives, office, friends etc.

"Ahhhh, when will their testimony come" Kikelomo shouted as she was weeping.

Stay with me as we journey together.
