THE KING'S DELIGHT


Part Seven

Adigun was happy as he rejoiced home. He could not wait to share the news, with his friends.

Arìké father who was asleep, woke up at the sound of the opened door

"Baami...mo ti de o(I am back o)" she said

"Kaabo (welcome).. How was the journey? He asked and stood up

Thank God. Let me quickly go and cook" she said as she carried the firewood to the backyard.

Her father went to meet her, as they talked and laughed as she was preparing the food. When the food was ready, they sat down to eat. After eating, they prayed and went to sleep.

Early in the morning, Adigun called all his friends for a meeting and they met at their usual spot. Instead of Adigun to talk, he was just dancing and his friends were wandering what was wrong with him.

"Adigun, kilosele (What happened)? Ogidan one of his friends asked

"Eyin oremi, oju ti yin (My friends, shame to you)" He said as he was dancing and they looked at each other

"If I had known that you will bring me here to play, I won't have answered you. Please, let me go back to my father's house. I have something to do, it is too early to play" musa said harshly

"Abi o" the rest of them chorused

"Well, I am not here to play neither am I here to waste your time. I have something important to say. I am here to tell you guys that I have finally gotten the attention of the Arìké, using the missing link" Adigun said proudly

His friends looked at each other and musa asked "How did you do it? And what is the missing link?

" The missing link is simple. I act like one of them. If you want to be with a Roman, you must act like one. If you want to be with Arìké, you must behave like the child of God she is and that is simply what I did. Now, I have a meeting with her today and If possible, i am going to confess my love to her" he said and laughed

"Adigun, o de beeru olorun(Fear God). I can't believe you went this far, just because you what to have Arìké. You are a devil and people like you need to be stoned" musa said angrily and the rest shouted "Ah..."

"Well, I cannot blame you because you are a fool and you will forever be" Adigun said and musa walked out of their midst

"Ore mi, I congratulate you o. Well done, you are truly a man of your words and please, make sure you confess your love to her like a child of God. I hope you understand" Ogidan said and they all laughed

"Oshey oremi (Thank you my friend). Leave that musa, let him be behaving like a saint. It is not his fault, it is because Arìké also turned down his proposal" he said

"Yes o, who knows I might be your best man on your wedding day" Ogidan said

"Yes o, I need to go now. My Arìké is waiting for me" he said and they all departed

Hmm, ladies...we need to be careful of Men like Adigun, who have only come to rob innocent and vibrant sisters

THE JOURNEY

Last 2 year, I started a journey on my health and I'm grateful. Even though I wasn't consistent especially after the coaching session but I had to strive to ensure the journey continues even though I fall, I still get myself back  Imagine being a lover of heels and you can't wear it for too long Having to sweat profusely, Having knee ache pains, Sewing new dresses because you can't wear your favorite dress Imagine lot's more because of weight gain, That was me.. Before you go further and think it's only food that cause weight gain.  Mine wasn't, I could say it was stay at home, free hands and no stress kind of reason (I don't know how best to put it) I know I'm not a slim person but I was already weighing 110kg. Lolz, 2 bags of cement.
