THE KINGS DELIGHT


Part 14

After thinking, something dropped to her mind and she said "Tell him to go and gather together all the people and fast for me. They should not eat or drink for three days.

I and my people here, will also fast here as they do. Then after the three days, I will go to the king even though it is against the law and if I perish I perish" 

Those words from baami pushed her to take such decision and it reminded her of her position in Christ as she trusted God to help her

Adeoye went and told him everything. Then he went away and told everything Arìké said to the people.

Arìké father, conducted the prayer as they all prayed to God and believed he will save them from their enemy, Hassan. 

Arìké and the women in the palace also observed the three days fasting and prayer. Without eating and drinking. She prayed that God order her step, and reveal what he wants her to do. She also prayed she obtained favor and grace in the sight of the king, just like the first day he saw her.

"I pray God help Queen Arìké" Adigun said

"Amen" they all chorused

"She is really taking a bold step, just to save us from Hassan and his men. I pray she won't be replaced just like the first Queen for violating the King's commandments" musa said and they all chorused "Amen"

Now, it was the third day as the people thanked God for answered prayers. Arìké put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the palace, opposite the throne.

The king was sitting on his throne, facing the entrance of the palace and when he saw Arìké, he was pleased with her and held out to her the staff that was with him. 

Arìké was glad as she drew near and touched the tip of the staff.

"What is it, Queen Arìké? What do you want? It shall be given to you, even if you want  everything in the palace" the king asked and smiled

She knelt down and said "If it pleases the king, let the king and Hassan come today to the dinner that I have prepared"

Immediately, the king ordered his guard to bring Hassan.

Part 15

After Hassan arrived, the both of them came to the dinner that she had prepared in the palace.

As they were drinking wine, the king asked Arìké "Now, what is your wish? Tell me and it shall be granted. Also, tell me what is your request? If it is half of everything in the palace, it shall be granted"

"My wish and request is, if I have found favour in the sight of the king, let the king and Hassan come to the dinner I will also prepare tomorrow and I will answer the King's question" she said as she knelt down

"So shall it be" the king said and Hassan went out of the palace being joyful but when he saw Sean, at the King's gate and noticed he wasn't afraid of his presence.

He was filled with anger against him but he restrained himself and went home. When Hassan got home, he called his friend and wife, Adunni as he began to boast in himself.

He also told then about the Queen inviting him, to come with the king to the dinner she was preparing tomorrow.

"Wow..." His friend chorused.

He went further to say, but all these worth nothing to me, as long as I see Sean at the King's gate being alive 

Then his wife and friend said "Why don't you make a pole set up that is high, and immediately you get to the palace in the morning, tell the king that Sean must be hanged on it. Then after, you can joyfully go with the king to the dinner"

"Wow, that's a great idea. I must tell the king this night, immediately I am through making the pole set up" he said and giggled.

Arìké sent Adeoye to her father at the gate, she told him about the steps she had made. He was happy with her and he went home to inform the people but still, they didn't stop praying

When Arìké saw that her father was happy, she asked the maid to get her food and to prepare for tomorrow's dinner. She also didn't stop praying and thanking God

THE JOURNEY

Last 2 year, I started a journey on my health and I'm grateful. Even though I wasn't consistent especially after the coaching session but I had to strive to ensure the journey continues even though I fall, I still get myself back  Imagine being a lover of heels and you can't wear it for too long Having to sweat profusely, Having knee ache pains, Sewing new dresses because you can't wear your favorite dress Imagine lot's more because of weight gain, That was me.. Before you go further and think it's only food that cause weight gain.  Mine wasn't, I could say it was stay at home, free hands and no stress kind of reason (I don't know how best to put it) I know I'm not a slim person but I was already weighing 110kg.
